Carl Peters studied electrical engineering at the Technical University Braunschweig and completed his studies, specializing in the fields of electronic engineering/electrophysics and high-frequency technology and subsequently worked as a member of the scientific staff at the Institute for High-Frequency Technology of the Technical University Braunschweig, during which time he conducted research in the areas of microwave technology and optical telecommunications.
After joining Philips Patentverwaltung GmbH, Carl Peters completed a course of study in the field of intellectual property protection, which he concluded with the admission as German patent agent and as European patent attorney. He then worked for a long time in the patent field in the industry, initially until 2006 at Philips Patentverwaltung GmbH, which later became Philips Intellectual Property & Standards. He then worked at NXP Semiconductors Germany GmbH until 2009. Since 2012 he works at RGTH Richter · Gerbaulet · Thielemann · Hofmann Patent Attorneys PartGmbB as a patent professional. In the same year, he obtained the admission as German patent attorney. Carl Peters represents his clients before the German and European Patent Offices by preparing and filing German, European and International patent applications as well as with the prosecution of and support for the corresponding examination and grant proceedings.
