Dr. Pohl graduated in biology at the University of Hamburg, followed by a half-year research at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, USA. He has extensive experience in microbiology and plant biotechnology.

Dr. Pohl began his career as a patent attorney in 1989, and he co-founded Pohl & Partner Patentanwälte mbB in 2004, a patent law firm which he has, since then, successfully managed.

Dr. Pohl is experienced in patent nullity proceedings.

He is fluent in German and English.
