M.Sc., LL.M. Leyi Li

Leyi Li studied Mechanical Design, Manufacture and Automation Major at Southwest University in China for Bachelor’s degree.
After graduation, she did an internship in a patent and trademark agency in Zhuhai, China.
Leyi Li then studied Mechanical Engineering at University College London (UCL) in the UK for Master’s degree. In her individual project, she focused on reversible heat pump / air conditioning system and researched to optimise the system according to different climates.
After graduating from UCL, Leyi Li studied Intellectual Property and ICT Law at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium for a second Master’s degree. She did her research in the topic “Inventions Created by Artificial Intelligence and Their Legal Protection by Patent Law and the Patentability of Artificial Intelligence Itself”, with a main focus on the European patent system.
Since October 2020 Leyi Li has been working for RGTH Richter · Gerbaulet · Thielemann · Hofmann Patent Attorneys PartGmbB in the field of intellectual property protection.
Leyi Li speaks Chinese, English and French.
